Inspiration: The Earth & Home Collection
Earth & Home Collection coming June 8th! Sign up for my email list to get early access to the collection.
I’d love to share my inspiration with you today.
There are two sources of inspiration in my artwork.
PHYSICAL: locations and things that inspire me on a day-to-day
EMOTIONAL: how I want my art to feel in the world & the emotions it gives collectors
Natural elements are woven throughout this collection; literally and figuratively. Coffee and beet ink offer beautiful earth tones and pair so lovely with the organic shapes pulled from nature. Isn't this palette just to die for!?
Making your home feel authentic and true to you is SO important. Artwork has the wonderful ability to help you create a warm and inviting space to thrive in.
As the seasons changed from winter to spring I found myself craving natures presence. The smell of a crisp breezy morning was just what I needed after a winter of isolation. My inspiration for this body of work stemmed from my need of feeling a deeper connection to the earth. Yeah, may sound cheesy, but it’s true. As much as I love my cozy, warm home I needed to step out and enjoy the beautiful nature trail by my home.
This collection started off as a continued exploration of my new found style and ended up taking my breath away. The connection I have to these paintings is unreal! Like, butterflies in my tummy type connection. Guess you could say, I’m in love ;) The Earth & Home Collection has given me SO much over the past few months. These painting warm my soul and I hope they warm yours.
From the inspiration phase, to the finishing pastel marks, the whole process lights me up. As I sit here writing this, finished paintings lay in front of me and I can’t stop glancing up to admire their itty bitty details. This collection offers me a deeper connection to my creative side, but also to nature. The color palette, organic shapes, and fluidity of these paintings brings me back to the serene nature trail near home.
Whether you collect a piece from this collection or enjoy them from afar, I hope they bring you peace, beauty, and connection. Each of these paintings may invite warmth and authenticity into your home. Creating a home that feels true to YOU is so important. If my art offers this for you it will make me the happiest human!
